Bella S. Helford concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial real estate transactions, general corporate and business representation, and general contract law. She handles a variety of real estate matters with an emphasis on the leasing, management, acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate properties.
Ms. Helford is admitted to practice in Maryland, New York, and New Jersey. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Maryland Bar Association, the New York Bar Association, and the New Jersey Bar Association.
Ms. Helford joined Bregman, Berbert, Schwartz & Gilday in 2012. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Helford was an associate with McDermott, Will & Emery, a Corporate Paralegal Department Manager with Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, and she was a solo practitioner, concentrating her practice in the areas of commercial and residential real estate, general business representation, and mergers and acquisitions.
Ms. Helford received her Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from New York University College of Arts and Science in 1998, with a double major in Political Science and Russian. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the Alumni Scholars Group, and she received the Founder's Day Award for Academic Achievement and the Russian Language Studies Award. Ms. Helford earned her Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law in 2001, having received the Dean's Scholarship.
